Gulfstream G450
The Gulfstream G450 is a direct descendent of the Gulfstream G400/GIV-SP series. It comes with upgraded engines (Rolls-Royce Tay 611-8C) with FADEC, and redesigned thrust reverser, nacelle, and pylon that, coupled with aerodynamic improvements, increase range and payload. As of November 2016, 33% of the Gulfstream G450 aircraft were purchased pre-owned by their current owners, the other 67% new. Currently, 8.5% are for sale with the majority of those (76%) under an exclusive broker agreement. When for sale, the average time on the market is 244 days.

Overview
The Gulfstream 450’s Rolls-Royce Tay Mk 611-8C engines are built around the high-pressure engine core of the SpeyRB.183-555, which has successfully documented thousands of hours of flight time in various other commercial and private jets. The Rolls-RoyceTay engine, however, gets 2,600 pounds more thrust on takeoff than the Spey. The Tay engines produce 13,850 pounds of thrust each, allowing a sea-level takeoff in 5,450 feet. At an altitude of 5,000 feet, the runway requirement is 8,030 feet.
Design
Between fourteen and eighteen passengers should ride comfortably in the Gulfstream 450s 1,525 cubic foot cabin. Passengers can easily stand in the 6.2 foot high cabin and will enjoy the 7.3 foot width and 45.1 feet in length (an 18-inch increase from the G-III). The 169 cubic feet of baggage space is accessible in flight. Two full-length closets for coat storage are located inside the two fully enclosed lavatories.

he PlaneView cockpit has four large liquid crystal flight displays, a Gulfstream enhanced vision system EVS with a Honeywell HUD 2020 head-up display, and a cursor control device. The EVS, developed by Gulfstream and Kollsman, is the first vision system of its type to be certified by the Federal Aviation Administration. The vision system gives the pilot a heightened level of situational awareness and allows greater safety.
